World Glaucoma Week

It’s the first day of World Glaucoma Week.

Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of irreversible blindness, but with early treatment, sight may be saved.

We are proud to be supporting Professor Bob Casson who is undertaking ground-breaking research right here at the Royal Adelaide Hospital to find new treatments for blinding eye diseases such as glaucoma and retinitis pigmentosa.

This research has the potential to help thousands of Australians who struggle daily with poor vision.

To learn more about the work of Professor Casson, take a look at his presentation from our Behind the Microscope series here.
