Community fundraising is a great way to get together a group of friends, work colleagues or community or service club members for a worthwhile cause.
You’ll not only have that “feel good” factor about helping to shape your own community’s healthy future, you’ll connect with others, share ideas and it’s great for team building.
Ideas for fundraising activities are as limitless as your own imaginations – whether that’s a quiz night, themed ball, morning tea, silent auction, sponsored walk or casual or dress-up day (perhaps an accident and emergency theme).
It can be as simple as you as an individual taking up a sponsored challenge such as a stair walk or fun run, getting a group together to stage a morning tea or trading table, or a community or service club putting on a gala event.
Best of all, the proceeds from your event will help the world-class medical researchers at the Royal Adelaide Hospital find faster diagnoses, better treatments and ultimately cures.
Of course, you can nominate the area of research in which you are passionate about, whether that’s cancer, heart disease, respiratory health (such as asthma) or other available research endeavours.
