Community Talks - RAH Research Fund

We’ve got a great story to tell!

The medical researchers at the Royal Adelaide Hospital are at the cutting edge of innovation, finding treatments and cures to improve and ultimately save lives.

Here at the Royal Adelaide Hospital Research Fund we are proud to support this world-class work and believe there’s a story worth sharing.

The Community Talks Program offers an opportunity for one of our team speak to your organisation or community group about some of the  ground-breaking work being undertaken at the Royal Adelaide Hospital (RAH). They will also outline how you can provide support by contributing to the Royal Adelaide Hospital Research Fund.

For example, currently RAH medical researchers are working towards the development of a drug that could possibly become the world’s first targeted cure for Acute Myeloid Leukaemia, one of the deadliest forms of blood cancer.

Another study is testing a laser’s effectiveness for treating glaucoma, which could enable big steps forward in the treatment of blinding eye diseases. Others are researching ways to reduce the impact of lung diseases such as emphysema, chronic bronchitis and chronic asthma on people’s quality of life.

This inspiring work has the potential to impact us all and ensure a healthy community now and into the future.
